“Dangerous Minds” actor Andrew Garfield stepped onto “Good Morning America” Wednesday to promote his new movie with Glenn Close, which is based on Jeff Kinney’s bestselling novels “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and “Diary of a Mad Housewife.” He was sporting some interesting shaggy hair, but as Ryan Seacrest cornered him about it, Garfield wasn’t about to give away the scoop about the film’s story (and its star-studded cast).
Seacrest was more interested in another issue: Andrew Garfield heard from his “Ghostbusters” co-star Dan Aykroyd, who is appearing in another remake of the classic 1984 film, this time with “Star Trek” actor Chris Hemsworth as his foil.
“I got a text the other day from Dan,” Garfield said. “He said, ‘Oh, by the way, did you know that I’m in the ‘Ghostbusters?’ Can I have your email?’ And I said, ‘I heard you’re in it. I just wanna tell you ‘Hey.’ Yeah.’”
“And that was it,” Garfield said, finishing up with a laugh, “for now. I don’t really want to say anything more than that!”
No, it wasn’t like this, Andrew. Any ideas on when you can share this conversation with Dan?
