If you missed it earlier today, the West Ham U.S. internationals have their first match of the Europa League. They play a group stage game away to Rapid Vienna in Austria, a situation that’s not ideal at all.
Because the deadline to register for U.S. player development programs occurred four days before the match, only three West Ham U.S. players are eligible to play. The other four U.S. players on the team in the squad play for other clubs in Europe. The U.S. Soccer Federation has pulled it’s membership in the European Clubs Association, which would have been more difficult to pull the teams in Europe that have American players on their teams, but it’s a topic the U.S. men’s national team will need to deal with in the future.
In the meantime, a look at how to watch that match on TV and in the streaming world:
How to watch:
What time: 10:00 a.m. EST

The United States is 1-6-2 in the round of 32 in the last six European competitions. The last time the U.S. advanced out of the round of 32 was in 2014 when it went 2-0-1. The American players on West Ham will be Sacha Kljestan, Andre Ayew and Chad Marshall.
