Our newsroom broke the news that a 13-year-old student was severely injured during a brawl on a field trip to an amusement park. The boy was rushed to a hospital in a stable condition.
CNN will continue to report on these cases and others such as them to raise awareness about student bullying. So far this year, we have profiled one special needs student who was attacked at school, a 9-year-old girl who was hit in the face while walking her dog, and a Special Olympian who was punched on his way to school.
But you can do more than tell us what happened in your community; we’d like to hear directly from you. CNN is launching a tool to help you find schools in your city or town.
If you live in Ontario, Canada, visit this website and search for your school to find out if any of the 36,000 schools in the province have been identified by the Ministry of Education as having issued “inappropriate discipline.” Click on the list to sort by “abuse,” or type in the name of the school you are looking for for a better understanding of the number of cases at each school.
The deadline to report inappropriate discipline is Wednesday, December 12. To report allegations of bullying, no deadline is required. You can report them to [email protected] or at the newsroom’s Help Center.
There is no specific identifier or content requirement for your username in this tool. Please use it as you wish. If you prefer, you can use the Word format. We will only publish the results as we receive them.
